Scientists are already predicting an 8 degree rise in temperature by
the end of the century. But it’s much worse than that, if you believe
the 3rd world has a moral right to 1st world energy, then carbon-
emission is going to turn the Earth into a 24/7 pizza-oven.
It is an unalterable fact that demand for electricity will skyrocket
in 2nd and 3rd world countries, especially in China and India.
So what can we do?
Is there a singular clean-energy technology that
1) does not emit carbon and
2) can replace fossil fuels, which currently supply 85 percent of
world energy, and all at a reasonable cost?
Yes, there is a pragmatic solution
American-style, and that’s
what this podcast is all about.
I promise: all will be revealed,
and end in a cornucopia of
white light. But when you tune in,
know that it’s not just a matter of
how, but also can we do it in time. Any transformation must happen
at almost the speed of light and complete by 2050, or we’re cooked
if science is to be believed.
